Sharon A. Thomas, chair of the Buffalo & Erie County Public Library System Board of Trustees, wrote an editorial to the Buffalo News.

The system is considering a change from a municipal library to a special legislative district public library, which would mean that the 22 separate library board of trustees would be consolidated into a single board of trustees elected by the public.
