“The dog is a nonjudgmental ear. They don’t care if you mispronounce something or miss a word. It doesn’t matter to the dog.” said Laura Lang, owner of service dog, Cammie.

Canastota Public Library has been encouraging elementary school-age children to read to a dog. It helps them feel more comfortable reading aloud.
