The world is going mobile! Everyone has a cell phone! Many of your users access the Internet through their phone, not a computer. How does this change how you deliver information?
Your website is a crucial tool for your community. Is it mobile-friendly? In this overview course, we will discuss quick ways to see what your website might look like on a cell phone, methods for converting your site to mobile, and best practices to keep in mind.
Learning Objectives:
* List 3 best practices which will require changes to your website
* Identify 3 ways you can test your website for mobile-friendliness
* Create a mobile-friendly web page
Approximately one hour of homework will be required each day
Target Audience: Web authors/developers
Prerequisites: Comfortable with CSS and HTML
Technical Requirements: Text editor, e.g., Windows Notepad, HTML/XML editor
This class is designed for individual participation; each individual must register.
