This is a reminder to register soon for the 2015 New York Archives Conference, to be held June 3-5 in Fredonia, NY!  Your registration should be completed no later than May 28th.

Come hear our Plenary Speaker, Anne W. Ackerson, Executive Director, Council of State Archivists, and Co-author of Leadership Matters, speak about “Eight Critical Issues for Archives Leadership Now”.

We are offering sessions on archival partnerships/collaboration, creating finding aids, outreach, careers in archives, creating an electronic records plan, and humanism and spiritualism in Chautauqua.  We are also offering poster presentations and three roundtables– the impact of politics on archives; outreach, marketing, and advocacy; and by popular demand, a return of our speed-mentoring roundtable.

Join us for light hors d’oeuvres and conviviality at our Thursday evening reception.

Wrap up the conference at the concluding luncheon with Jack Ericson, whose passion, persistence, compassion, and trustfulness built the Seneca/Iroquois collection at SUNY Fredonia.  Don’t miss this engaging speaker whose own history speaks legions for what makes a good archivist.

Choose from our two workshops: one that will outline the challenges of E-records and present tools that will assist in creating an E-records action plan;

and the SAA DAS certificate workshop, “Accessioning and Ingest of Electronic Records.”

Register separately for the DAS workshop through SAA at http://saa.archivists.org/events/accessioning-and-ingest-of-electronic-records-1593/592/
