With the generous support of the Library of Congress, the Empire State Center for the Book is again administering a state literacy award program. Libraries in New York are invited to submit nominations from 1/8-3/1/18 for this award, which will be given to a not-for-profit organization whose literacy project delivers impact through partnership within the New York State library community.

A panel of judges will read the nominations and select an award winner. The winner will be notified by 4/30/18 and will recieve a check for $1000 to support the work of the literacy project, presented at the New York State Writers Hall of Fame Induction on Tuesday, June 5, 2018, in New York City, at the Princeton Club.

Please note: the winning applicant must be present at the induction. The winner will be the guest of the Empire State Center for the Book, but unfortunately, the Center for the Book cannot underwrite travel expenses.
