Look up in the sky. It’s a bird. It’s a plane. It’s a resource-sharing superhero!

CLRC, partnering with the South Central Regional Council, hosted the annual interlibrary loan workshop at SUNY Cortland on November 10. This year’s focus was on Assessing, Improving and Marketing (A.I.M.) Resource-Sharing.

Presenters Jillian Maruskin (Ohio Wesleyan), Debby Emerson (CLRC), Linda Beins (Finger Lakes Library System), Caitlin Finley (Cornell University) and Jennifer Acker (Hudson Valley Community College) spoke on the three focus topics.

The group had an opportunity to exchange ideas during an open forum discussion and Jai Blackburn, from the NYS Academy of Fire Science Library, gave us a peek into her typical day and interlibrary loan requests.

The venue was lovely, the food was yummy and the networking was fantastic. It was a “super” day.

And the real-life superheroes each flew back to their ILL departments donning a new cape.

Thanks to the planning committee members for all their hard work.
