The Central New York Library Resources Council (CLRC) is pleased to announce that Marc Wildman will be the new Executive Director of CLRC.

Marc comes to CLRC with many years of experience, including familiarity with the Empire State Library Network (ESLN), having served as a board member and chair of the Personnel Committee of the South Central Regional Library Council (SCRLC) and as a member of the Library Resources and Services (LRS) Committee at CLRC. He has served on and reported to a variety of boards, including having held the position of President of the SUNY Librarians Association (SUNYLA).

He currently holds the position of Assistant Director for Patron Services at DeWitt Community Library. In addition to his regular duties at the library, Marc has been involved with the planning of the library’s new building, including organizing the move. Marc’s previous positions include Director of Libraries at Cayuga Community College, Acquisitions and Bibliographic Services Librarian at SUNY Cortland and Serials Cataloging Supervisor at Syracuse University Library.

Marc holds an MLS from Syracuse University, a BS in liberal arts with a concentration in music from Excelsior College and an AAS in music from Onondaga Community College.

His previous positions gave Marc experience with supervision, budgeting, advocacy, and administration that will be valuable in his role as Executive Director of CLRC. Marc will begin his duties at CLRC on September 11th and is looking forward to working with the staff, board and membership.
