The 2019-2020 Documentary Heritage Program Grants are currently open.

Deadline for applications is January 15, 2019.

DHP grants can be used for Documentation Projects (planning, surveying, and collecting historical records related people, groups, events, or political, economic, and social conditions in NY State). Documentation projects can include born-digital records as well as paper-based materials.

DHP grants can also be used for Arrangement and Description Projects, which can be used to arrange and describe historical records, both born-digital and paper-based through access tools such as MARC records or Finding Aids. While these grants may not be used for digitization, item-level description, or preservation—the Documentation, Arrangement, and Description of collections are much encouraged first steps before undertaking digitization and item-level description projects.
