Are you an Early Career Library & Information Professional? Then we want YOU to join CLRC’s Early Career Professionals Special Interest Group (SIG)!
In this group you’ll identify issues that are important to you as an early career professional as well as network and trade stories with other regional early career professionals.
You’re eligible for the ECP SIG if:
- you’re in the first five (5) years of your library/information career and
- you’re a CLRC or ESLN member (if your institution or parent insitution is a member, so are you! Don’t hesitate to ask if you’re unsure).
We’ll be holding our first meetup of 2019 on Wednesday, March 20 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Come eat some pizza, meet new people, and share your concerns as an early career professional!
We’re also looking for some people to give two to three minute informal lightning talks about either a career success or failure you’ve faced. Some examples could include an awesome professional development opportunity, a program that didn’t quite live up to expectations, great or horrible interactions with patrons, etc. If you’re interested please make sure to indicate that in your RSVP!
