ESLN Webinar: Patrolling the Stacks? – Responding to Activity By ICE & Other Law Enforcement Agencies At Your Library
March 19 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm EDT

New York libraries of all types have an ethical and legal obligation to protect library records and patron privacy, including when information is requested by law enforcement or private investigators. This webinar by attorney Stephanie “Cole” Adams, her team, and a special guest will review the rules and practical techniques for following those legal and ethical obligations.
Whether you are a library worker, director, or trustee, join us for 90 minutes of active learning!
We invite you to submit a question for the presenter – there will be a place to do that during the registration process. You can also submit questions over email to nathan@losapllc.com. The deadline to submit questions is March 7.
Presenter: Stephanie “Cole” Adams is an attorney who represents libraries, educators, students, and creative professionals. Cole provides the Ask the Lawyer service that New York State’s nine library resource councils provide to each library in the state.
