LILRC Webinar: Managing Conflict in a Culturally Diverse Workplace

In this program, you will learn the basic skills needed to identify and understand conflict and to successfully negotiate and resolve disputes that occur at the workplace. The “real world” focus is on practical ways to enable you to resolve day to day conflict and to be a more effective supervisor. Everyone will gain a better understanding of the dynamics of conflict and negotiation, and, how to manage yourself and others during tense moments. You will learn to shift the focus from conflict to finding solutions that work for all parties, and to reduce unproductive behavior, employee terminations, lawsuits and to facilitate successful conflict management with all the workplace stakeholders.

Understanding cultural differences and norms can be instrumental in mitigating day to day conflict with individuals from diverse backgrounds and can mean the difference between success and failure. Along with provide the necessary conflict resolution skill sets we will focus on the role of cultural awareness skills in managing conflict.
