December 18 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Today archive professionals and special collection managers can hardly escape the conundrum of intellectual property, but especially copyright. As our work increasingly encompasses copyright-intensive programs and projects, questions arise around moving collections online and making high-quality digital copies for distribution to patrons. Many professionals may hesitate because they are unsure about the copyright implications of their actions. This program will provide a solid understanding of copyright law and reveal how practical copyright knowledge can help craft policies and solutions that empower, enhance, and increase online access to our collections.
