What is Day of FITS?
Day of Filling in the Spaces (FITS) is an informal conference put on by LISSA every spring. We welcome guests and participants from all disciplines, and encourage current students, alumni, local information professionals, and faculty to attend.
This conference is a great opportunity to prepare for a more formal presentation or to share something you’re passionate about. You could present a poster, lightning round talk, or a longer presentation. Topics can be about your current research, talk about a hobby, or test drive a future conference presentation It is a great opportunity to practice public speaking in a low-pressure environment and support your peers!
If you have any questions, feel free to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
When is it?
Day of FITS will be Saturday, April 4th from 10 AM to 2 PM in Hinds Hall. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
How can I participate?
If you want to help us out, volunteer to be a room monitor! We need room monitors to help speakers keep time, as well as introduce speakers at the beginning of their presentation.
You can also speak at Day of FITS, of course! Our call for proposals is open. Fill out this form to let us know what topic you want to present on, and how long you’re interested in speaking for.
