NWILL Conference Watch Party at CLRC

On Wednesday, September 18 and Thursday, September 19 the Northwest Interlibrary Loan & Resource Sharing Conference will bring together members of the resource sharing community in the PNW and around the world. Program content ranges from practical, how-to sessions to philosophical discussions on the future of interlibrary loan and resource sharing.
Since the first conference in 2002, NWILL has been a resounding success, serving an important role in the Pacific Northwest library community and beyond. It is held annually and has an average in-person attendance of 150 people from all over North America. Since going virtual in 2020, nearly 500 online attendees have joined the conference, including increasing numbers of practitioners from outside of North America. Despite the ability to return to face-to-face programming, the NWILL Conference Planning Committee recognizes the need to continue offering professional development and contribution opportunities for those in the PNW and beyond. To that end, NWILL is being held in a hybrid format this year.
CLRC is excited to announce the 2024 NWILL Conference Watch Party! Hosted at the CLRC office, the watch party will take place from 10:30am to 7pm EDT on Wed 9/18 and 11:30am to 7pm EDT on Thu 9/19. Wednesday’s sessions will begin at 11am EDT and continue until 7pm EDT. Thursday’s sessions will begin at 12pm EDT and continue until 7pm EDT. Preregistered programming includes “A Newbie’s Experience: Sharing Resource Sharing Resources,” “Beyond Borders, Beyond Basics: The Value of International Resource Sharing,” and “Continuity in Excellence: Effective Resource Sharing Succession Planning.” See the NWILL Conference Program for full details. Registration for the Watch Party includes access to the conference; no separate registration is required. Please note that CLRC is not hosting the additional programming on Friday, September 20.
