In this webinar, we examine the elements of difficult conversations and why we struggle to communicate. We’ll discuss methods you can use to prepare yourself for having a difficult conversation to increase the likelihood of a positive outcome. We’ll also touch on difficult conversations in the workplace like how to have difficult conversations with your boss or people you manage and how to receive a difficult message.

Presenters: Amanda Johnson and Lauren Clossey are the owners of Alliance Research and Training, LLC. Amanda Johnson started her journey in libraries 12 years ago and has since worked in academic, public, and state government environments. Lauren Clossey has worked in libraries for 17 years in academic, public, and school libraries. Together, Amanda and Lauren have developed trainings for the Association for Rural and Small Libraries, Public Library Association, Niche Academy, The People Connect Institute, New Jersey State Library, Tennessee State Library and Archives, Georgia Public Library Services, and more.
