Webinar: Online Security – It’s About More than Passwords

Are you hesitant when it comes to passwords, logins, and security? Unsure how to handle that odd-looking email? Want to know more about why you received a suspicious email? This session will touch on basic cybersecurity tips for passwords and emails. After this session, attendees will appreciate the need for authentication online and be more aware of email and password issues and how best to handle them.

About the Presenter:

Denise Garofalo HeadshotDenise A. Garofalo is currently the Associate Librarian for Systems and Catalog Services at Mount Saint Mary College. Prior to joining the Mount Saint Mary College community, Denise held technology or cataloging positions in special, school, academic, and public libraries, as well as with library consortia. She has consulted with librarians on technology, information processing, and digitization projects. Denise has made presentations at library conferences, workshops, and webinars on topics from metadata and information literacy to cataloging and cybersecurity. She reviews for Library Journal and writes a column for the Journal of Electronic Resources Librarianship.
