Webinar: Post COVID-19 World on Community Engagement and Student Retention – An Online Discussion

April 13, 2021 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm EDT

Webinar Description:

COVID-19 has been disruptive and impacted all sectors of society. What lessons can we draw from COVID-19 related to community engagement and student retention and how do we apply them in a post COVID-19 world? Universities are sorting out student retention, recruitment, and engagement strategies in remote and hybrid formats. Community anchors such as public libraries are redefining their services to their users. Vaccine distributions are being rolled out across the world and select libraries are serving as testing and vaccine deployment sites. However, there is still a growing concern. We may not return to pre-COVID-19 world. This interactive presentation will focus on key ideas and lessons on community engagement and student retention measures by such institutions and to reimagine what a post COVID-19 world may look like.
