1:00 – 2:00  Wendi Ackerman, Deputy Director, Upstate Health Sciences Library, will demonstrate how they use REDCap, a free tool designed for clinical research data, to collect and report on statistics for Library services (instruction sessions, literature searches, reference questions, etc.). Participants are encouraged to bring suggestions and comments about other software or methods used to collect and analyze similar data in their libraries.

2:15-3:15  Mike Poulin, Head of Collection Management, Colgate University Libraries, will share thoughts about how to clean up data collected to make it more useful and understandable.

3:15-3:30  General Q&A/discussion and wrap up

CLRC’s Usage Statistics Special Interest Group provides informal opportunities for exchange of information about library-related usage statistics.  If you have a suggestion for a session or are interested in leading a session, please contact Tasha Cooper, nacoop01@syr.edu, Syracuse University Libraries.

Following up on a suggestion from the past, if you would like to lead a session about using pivot tables, macros, and spreadsheets generally for usage statistics, please let Tasha know.
