Library of the Year

Library of the year will be awarded to one CLRC member Library.

Who can be nominated?
Nominations for Library of the Year are open to any academic, public, school, or special library (this includes archives and museums) in Herkimer, Madison, Oneida, or Onondaga County. However, a library may not win the award two years in a row. View our member directory here.

Who can submit a nomination?
Nominations for Library of the Year must be self-submitted. Library staff can submit one nomination per library so please plan accordingly. Any nominations received after the first has been submitted will be disregarded.

When will the winners be announced and what do they receive?
Winners will be announced just before CLRC’s annual meeting in October of 2021 and are encouraged to attend the ceremony. Each winner will be awarded a plaque to display in their library.

What is the deadline for nominations?
Nominations for 2021 are open April 21 through August 31. CLRC must receive nominations electronically via Google form by this date.

Library Staff All-Star

Library Staff All-Star will be awarded to one staff member of a CLRC member library.

Who can be nominated?
Nominations for Library Staff All-Star are open to any academic, public, school, or special library (this includes archives and museums) staff member in Herkimer, Madison, Oneida, or Onondaga County. We truly mean any staff member – not just librarians. Library staff members may not win All-Star awards two years in a row. View our member directory here.

Who can submit a nomination?
Nominations for Library Staff All-Star can be submitted by any staff member of a member institution. Please only submit one nomination. We will not be accepting self-nominations for this award.

What should be included in the nomination?
Since these are open-text forms, please take your time and write thoughtful responses telling us what it is about the staff member that really stands out. How do they go above and beyond? Please note that nominees will not be judged on the number of nominations but rather on the substance of those nominations.

When will the winners be announced and what do they receive?
Winners will be announced just before CLRC’s annual meeting in October of 2021 and are encouraged to attend the ceremony. Each winner will receive a plaque and will be presented with a gift card.

What is the deadline for nominations?
Nominations for 2021 are open April 21 through August 31. CLRC must receive nominations electronically via Google form by this date.
