CLRC is pleased to welcome Jen Bort to the position of Research & Development Librarian.

Jen has a background in communications/journalism and has held writing and editorial positions in Rochester and Syracuse. When she found herself in the role of “accidental taxonomist” at a Syracuse firm, her interest in the work and passion for professional and personal development led her to pursue a graduate degree in information organization.

She will obtain her MLIS this spring from Syracuse University where she has worked in various capacities at Bird Library, the School of Information Studies, the Belfer Audio Archive, and the SU Archives. In addition, Jen has extensive organization and event planning experience through her recent work as Book Donations Coordinator at the Fayetteville Free Library and through her involvement as co-founder of bettyElm Records.

Jen will be in charge of CLRC’s professional development program and maintenance of the CLRC website, and will take the lead with several of CLRC’s special interest groups and projects.

You can reach Jen via email at jbort@clrc.org or by calling the office at 315-446-5446.
