2025 New York Library Association Conference
Saratoga Springs, NY
I’m so glad I was able to attend the NYLA Annual Conference this year! It was my first time attending and I hope to go again in the future. I came away with lots of ideas I look forward to sharing with the rest of my coworkers about library policy, innovative collaborative programming, and ideas for increasing circulation at our library.
Some of the presentations that were highlights for me were “Seeds of Collaboration” with Amanda Primiano and Catherine Gardner, “Unintentional Library Barriers in Library Service” with Kelly Harris and Victor Caputo, and “Small Spaces, Big Opportunities: Reorganizing to Increase Circulation” with David Vinjamuri and Sarah Murphy. I was particularly excited about David Vinjamuri’s explanation of ethnographic user experience research in libraries, and how this data can be combined with item circulation “heat maps” and merchandising techniques to best support the ways patrons interact with library spaces.
