Matthew Kopel, CLRC’s Research and Development Librarian, is the winner of the Excellence in Library Innovation Award.  The award is sponsored by the Academic and Special Libraries Section (ASLS) of the New York Library Association (NYLA). The award recognizes the achievements of an ASLS member who is creative, innovative and visionary in the field of academic or special librarianship. It provides $500 in financial support for annual conference registration and travel expenses. Kopel has initiated numerous innovative efforts, both at CLRC and statewide. The Code4Lib learning lunch at CLRC and the CNYFi project are just two examples of his visionary thinking. CLRC congratulates Matthew Kopel on this well-deserved award.
