Code4Lib 2026
Philadelphia, PA
The code4lib conference was a wonderful experience! I can hardly begin to explain all the things I learned and talk about all of the people whom I met.
I had the opportunity to meet with technologists working in GLAMs across the U.S. and Canada, and even some people from Europe! There were attendees and presenters from NYPL, JSTOR, Brynn Marr, Yale, University of North Dakota, Getty Institute, Howard University, SUNY Upstate, Boston Public Libraries, Stanford, University of Illinois-Chicago, The ArQuives, McGill, and so many more! I learned a lot about how other institutions interact with each other and meet their technology needs.
I attended sessions and heard prestations on AI in librarianship, archival technologies, digital archival practices, managing funding for technology, migrating from legacy software, managing ezproxy, data privacy in library systems, web archiving, automating workflows, web accessibility, cybersecurity, and involving stakeholders in library software development. That’s just off the top of my head – there was a lot more that was covered!
