The Teen Video Challenge (TVC) for 2017 is underway. The New York State Library is looking for creative teens to submit entries, through their local public library, to promote Summer Reading and show their interpretation of this year’s slogan…Build a Better World!

New York State teens aged 13-18 are encouraged to create a short video promoting the fun and benefits of Summer Reading at their public library. Entries compete for state and national recognition, and a $50 gift certificate from Upstart will be donated to the sponsoring library of the winning entry.

* Entries are due to the local public library by February 13.
* Entries from the public library are due to the New York State Library by February 16.
* Judging will be by a panel from the State Library and the winner notified on February 27.
