CLRC’s Digitization Lab (DigLab) offers a range of services and equipment.  We offer in-house digitization and metadata services for our members at cost.  Our equipment is also available for use or loan for member projects.

Digitization Lab can digitize:

  • Photographs, postcards, photograph slides, photograph negatives, glass plate negatives (of various sizes)
  • Print-based materials: yearbooks, catalogs, scrapbooks, registers, etc.
  • Physical newspapers bound and loose (microfilm is handled by NNYLN, and they can provide a quote at digitization@nnyln.org)
  • Oversized bound and unbound materials

And create metadata:

  • For all those materials listed above
  • Born-digital items: TIFF, JPEG/JPG, PDF, audio files, and video files – audio and video files might be copied to convert to a different file type in order to upload
