2025 New York Library Association Conference

I always come home from a conference feeling inspired and excited, and this year was no different. I tried to attend sessions that were both very connected to my own daily work and a little bit out of my wheelhouse because I love to learn about what’s going on outside of youth services. I attended a table discussion session about AI in public libraries, which was very eye-opening and has me thinking about how AI should, and shouldn’t, be used in my own work. It was great to talk with other librarians at my table about their experiences with AI at their different locations. And I learned so much from librarians from the Brooklyn Public Library at their session about their StoryTeen intern program. I’m feeling inspired to get the teens in my community involved with early childhood learning.
