About Advocacy Day:
CLRC is chartering a bus to Albany to take library supporters to Library Advocacy Day. This event, sponsored by NYLA – New York Library Association, gives participants the opportunity to meet with state legislators and continue conversations on the importance of libraries in their communities.
Check out the CLRC Advocacy page on our website for a list of regional legislators. Download NYLA Legislative Priorities here. A schedule of appointments will be provided to all participants.
For bus riders:
Pickup locations will be at the CLRC office on Ridings Road in Syracuse and the North Utica Shopping Plaza in Utica (located at 50 Auert Avenue). Additional stops along the New York State Thruway at the Herkimer and Little Falls Commuter Park & will be added if needed.

~8:45am Bus arrives in Albany
9:30am to 12:00pm Legislative Appointments
12:00pm NYLA Rally in “The Well” located in the LOB
1:00pm to 2:30pm Legislative Appointments
3:15pm Bus leaves Albany
4:15pm Bus arrives in Little Falls
4:45pm Bus arrives in Utica
5:45pm Bus arrives at CLRC Offices
Lunch is on your own between scheduled meetings.
Snacks and water bottles will be provided on the bus.

$17.00 for Students
Bus driver gratuity is included in the fee
