Trends in higher education are introducing open learning, Open Educational Resources (OERs), educational commons, and other notions of openness in academic communities. To meet these needs, academic libraries are reimagining their spaces, collections, technologies, and services to position themselves for a future that is inclusive and open.

Join colleagues in beautiful Ithaca to hear invited speakers April Hathcock, Gerald Beasley, and Arthur Eisenberg – and others from around the state and beyond – to take a deeper dive into the Open.

The full day will include lightning talks and posters, as well as presentations from the invited speakers and others working with OA/OER. The Library is Open is hosted by the Empire State Library Network, New York Library Association’s Academic and Special Libraries Section, and the Eastern NY Association of College & Research Libraries.

Early Bird Pricing is $80 (July-August). Registration includes meals for both days. Regular pricing will be $100. Discounted registration for MLS/MLIS students will be $25. There will also be an option for waived registration for student volunteers.
