About the Presenter:
Loraine Walker is the Children’s Services Librarian at the Starkville Public Library in Starkville, MS home of the Mississippi State Bulldogs and current College World Series Champions. Loraine was honored with the Kaigler-Lamont Award in 2021 for excellence in service to children. She was also a Keynote speaker for Library 2.0. Loraine was also featured in Mississippi Magazine and numerous newspaper articles for her creative virtual storytime presentations. Loraine is a graduate of Mississippi State University and is very involved in her community. Loraine is a member of the Junior Auxiliary of Starkville, Starkville Area Arts Council, Phi Mu Alumnae Chapter President, Friends of the Noxubee Refuge Board, and Daughters of the American Revolution. Loraine is currently pursuing her MLIS at the University of Southern Mississippi after receiving a full Mississippi Library Commission Public Librarian Scholarship.
