Bring your friends! Bring your soon-to-be friends!

Wednesday, June 20
9:30 am to 12:00 pm
Cazenovia Public Library

Workshop Description:
Learn the benefits of gathering community volunteers to support your library’s programs and services. We’ll utilize a checklist to develop a Friends of the Library group: recruiting helpers for a steering committee, determining the Friends’ mission, expanding their membership, and growing the leadership to sustain an active organization.

Target Audience: Library trustees and administrators interested in establishing a Friends group for their library; community volunteers; other staff members who work with Friends groups. Libraries are encouraged to send a team of three people.*  Members of existing Friends of Libraries groups, especially those working to revitalize a group, will also find this workshop helpful.

*Please note that this is encouraged, not required.
