Last Thursday, CLRC Board members held a farewell get-together for Debby Emerson and Déirdre Joyce, both are leaving the Council to take new positions.
Debby is now the Director at the Wadsworth Public Library in Geneseo. Déirdre will be starting at the Syracuse University Libraries as Metadata Services Librarian.
There was cheese and fruit and crackers. There was cake. There was a warm farewell from librarians from around the region.
Thank you to Meg Van Patten, CLRC Board President, for putting together a Public Library Director Survival Kit gift basket that included a stress ball, erasers, tissues, latex gloves and chocolate. Everything Debby will need to make her job run smoothly.
Debby and Déirdre will be missed. We thank them for their leadership and support to CLRC’s member libraries.
