Congratulations to Minoa Elementary School Librarian Tina Nabinger, who recently received the 2018 Makers: Women Who Make America award from WCNY, honoring the achievements of Central New York women who inspire others.
Tina created “Book Cooks,” an after-school program for grades 2-5, that combines cooking from recipes inspired by literature and nonfiction books they read together. As a side bar, Tina also teaches her students about nutrition and making healthy choices. Students take field trips to restaurants and have visits from guest chefs.
