The Erie Canal Museum and Willow Rock Brewery are pleased to partner on this History Happy Hour, which begins at 6pm. At 6:30pm a special presentation by Museum Educator Derrick Pratt will examine the 1907 collapse of the Erie Canal over Onondaga Creek, which inspired the new beer, “Great Canal Collapse,” followed by a discussion with Willow Rock’s brewers on the making of the beer, and finally the unveiling of the Erie Canal Museum’s 2022 summer cycling programs, with special discounts available those in attendance. Museum staff will continue to be available to discuss history, beer, bicycling, or anything else for that matter until 8pm.
