LILRC Webinar: 6 Documents Every Archive Needs – Emergency/Disaster Plan

In this four-part series, Nicole Menchise, LILRC Digitization and Archives Coordinator, will explain why these documents and policies are key to the operation of an archival repository. Examples will be shared.

The six documents are:
Collections Management Policy -January 15th

Temporary Custody Receipt & Deed of Gift – February 19

Incoming & Outgoing Loan Paperwork – April 16

Emergency/Disaster Plan – May 14

Having policies in place allow archives professionals guidelines for collections management, future acquisitions, lending archives to other organizations for exhibition, assessing preservation needs and planning for emergencies.

Who should attend: librarians serving local history rooms, directors and employees/volunteers of historical societies, house museums or other cultural institutions.
