You are invited to participate in a virtual book club to read and discuss the book, The Person You Mean to Be: How Good People Fight Bias, by Dolly Chugh. By making our libraries more inclusive, we can better serve all of our users. This book club is an opportunity to learn how you can increase inclusivity and equity in both your workplace and your personal life.
Virtual book clubs will meet in real-time once a month for 90 minutes during the months of November 2019 through February 2020. It is best to use a device with a microphone and camera to have the richest experience. Each book club will have a facilitator that is a medical librarian, and the facilitator will share the link to the meetings plus all additional resources. At each meeting, specific chapters will be discussed. There will also be opportunities for attendees to do activities outside of the book club meetings. Virtual book club participants will select one club to join. If scheduling conflicts arise, participants can choose to attend a different club’s meeting for that month. MLA CE credit will be awarded for book club meetings attended.

The facilitators are open to taking as many participants as we can, although there may be limited funding available to purchase copies of the book and cover CE fees.
