RRLC Webinar: Library Data in Context

This webinar will cover how to use a combination of public and local data sources to make decisions through context evaluation, visualization, and data analysis. Case studies incorporating data analysis tools such as R, Tableau Public, ArcGIS, and PolicyMap will be discussed.

Workshop learning objectives:
– Understand the research lifecycle as a continuum
– Understand how context shapes data collection, analysis, and presentation
– Discover practical applications of common data analysis tools
– Create actionable insights from public and local data

About the presenter:
Catherine Stollar Peters, Ph.D is the Assistant Director of Operations at Bethlehem Public Library and an adjunct instructor at the University at Albany College of Emergency Preparedness, Homeland Security and Cybersecurity. In 2017, She earned a Ph.D. in Information Science studying the socio-technical interactions of public library computers and computer users. Her research focuses on digital archives, public libraries, and data science.

Free to RRLC and ESLN members. This webinar will be held on Zoom Webinar; registration is required.

All attendees will receive a certificate of attendance for one hour and 30 minutes of CE credit.
