Workshop Description:

Do you find yourself recycling the same old displays over and over? Has your creativity run dry when it comes to display ideas every month? Look no further! Come listen as Meg Van Patten shares her ideas on creating fun and engaging displays, as well as additional resources to strengthen your inspiration. She will share some of the display props and units her library has purchased to enhance the library’s display capabilties.

About the Presenter:

Meg Van Patten is currently the director of Baldwinsville Public Library but she previously worked there as the Head Reference/Adult Services Librarian. She also worked as a page then librarian at the Onondaga County Public Library Central Branch. Meg has held positions for the New York Library Association in the Continuing Education Committee, the Reference/Adult Services Section, Library Administration and Management Roundtable, among others. She was also on the Board of Trustees for the Central New York Library Resouces Council. Baldwinsville Public Library was named CLRC Public Library of the Year for 2018 while Meg received a NYLA Lifetime Achievement Award in 2013. And these are just a few of Meg’s many accomplishments!
